What is the difference between a "User DSN" and a "System DSN" ODBC connection?

When create a new DSN connection in ODBC Data Source Administrator, you can choose a "User DSN" and a "System DSN".
A "User DSN" can only be used by the user who created it.
A "System DSN" can be used by any user on the computer.
