Oracle on the Sun OS Configuration for
Remote Volume Mirroring
NOTE
Examples of all scripts for Oracle on the Sun OS are found in Appendix
C
,
"
Oracle on the Sun Solaris OS Scripts
." The samples are for instructional
purposes only. When you are actually implementing scripts, always download
the most recent compressed file and use the latest scripts available.
Script Process Flow
You can find all scripts for the RVM Solution in the
./LSI_ERM
subdirectory. This
directory can be located under any directory (for example,
/opt/LSI_ERM
). This
directory must give full read, write, and execute privileges to the owner of the Oracle
software use (for example, oracle).
The RVM Solution mirrors only the Oracle database instance. It is assumed that the
installation of the Oracle software is located in the same directory on the primary site and
on the remote site. This configuration makes
$ORACLE_BASE
and
$ORACLE_HOME
identical.
Table 5-1 Directory Uses
