QL Database Administrator -
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with data architect in implementing database design and development using SQL Server technologies, writing T-SQL Code including stored procedures, functions and triggers, developing SSIS packages.
Database Maintenance, Backups, and Performance Monitoring and Development activities.
Activities include developing database structure; developing database utilization policies, procedures, security, in co-ordination with Sr. DBA.
Involved in Release management for production releases.
Involved in coordinating the production release with the release management team.
Perform platform upgrades and migrations; monitoring performance; and coordinating actions.

Maintains data integrity using standards and monitoring techniques.
Maintains database performance by developing tuning methodologies.
Provides regular reports to Supervisors by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends.
Perform scheduled maintenance (i.e. application and server hotfixes).
Monitor Database server statistics and update the environment appropriately.
Respond to database/server/service emergency situations.
Develop and implement automation to ease administration of the environment
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS degree in computer systems design, computer science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2-5 years direct work experience with the SQL Server.
Experience in design & implementing physical and logical data models.
Perform, verify & document for installations of new database Servers.
Designs and plans new server configurations.
Coordinates with the infrastructure team to provision platforms and coordinate disaster recovery. Identify, recommend and performs upgrades and applies patches to existing servers.
Design, build and support complex database programming solutions.
Strong experience in SSIS Development in SQL Server 2012/2014 technologies.
Designs, executes, monitors and troubleshoot Database to provide high availability
Work with team in tuning and optimizing SQL code, including stored procedures, functions and SSIS Packages.
Knowledge of Data encryption within database.
Verifies & Executes release scripts and installation instructions and suggest/optimize for the best performance, guide the development team to follow best practices.
Experience in managing database security.
Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.
