Database Administrator
Description
Creation, maintenance and tuning of multiple 4GL and Access databases across multiple servers. Database engine installation and configuration. Database backup and recovery. Performance tuning. Design and administration of database security. Application of database patches and upgrades.Export data to other programs for analysis. Crystal reports. Reports in PDF format for distribution on the intranet. Basic Unix administration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive knowledge of SQL, Informix, Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
3 to 5 years supporting multiple databases on different platforms.
