Database Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Create, configure, and maintain database technologies in the Cloud Environment to support enterprise level Geospatial Information Systems and tools;
• Work as part of an Agile team to improve database performance;
• Create solutions for storing, sorting and retrieving data; ensure adherence relevant metadata standards;
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures on the team wiki page;
• Follow and complete team and customer processes and procedures to deploy, administer and maintain systems to include creating appropriate documentation;
• Report time and progress on a weekly basis in multiple systems and formats.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated on-the-job experience establishing and executing backup and recovery process for production databases
Demonstrated on-the-job experience creating tables, views, users, and roles
Demonstrated on-the-job experience tuning databases to improve performance
Demonstrated on-the-job experience accrediting database systems and understanding of customer’s security best practices
Demonstrated on-the-job experience manipulating, ingesting, organizing, loading, and exposing geospatial datasets
Demonstrated on-the-job experience or knowledge of Geospatial Metadata standards and experience applying metadata
Demonstrated on-the-job experience or knowledge of the ESRI and OpenGeo product suites and/or other geospatial tools
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with defect tracking, configuration management, and continuous integration technologies
Demonstrated on-the-job experience creating, configuring, and maintaining database technologies in the cloud environment
