Database Administrator/Programmer
Position will:
Consult with product owners to gather information and requirement, prototype, develop, refine, test, and debug databases and programs to meet needs.
Work with staff to fulfill user requests for database activity, create automated reports, and manage database maintenance, tuning, and extraction tasks.
Analyze, define, and document requirements for databases, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about databases and programs.
Train end users or technical support staff to use programs.
Monitor performance of database systems and programs after implementation.
Keep abreast of innovations in technology in order to recommend database software and hardware to management.
Successful Candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or other relevant field
Minimum of 4 years practical experience administrating and customizing SQL Server in stage and production environment.
Excellent knowledge of relational database design, analysis, and administration
Knowledge of database theory(query languages) and design
Experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and T-SQL
Familiar with any Object Oriented Languages (.Net is a plus)
Knowledge of non-profit association businesses and practices
Knowledge of SDLC
Ability to manage multiple tasks, with changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, and quickly and independently learn new skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced multitasking environment
Experience in data-driven web development using .Net is a plus
Experience in SharePoint development is a plus
