Database Administrator
This position will plan and direct the coordination, development, and maintenance of multiple complex computer database systems. The Database Administrator will also design database systems and coordinate the testing and review of programs and ensures that project output meets user requirements, time schedules, and data processing standards. Other duties as assigned.
Experience working on large scale transaction oriented information systems
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and related clustering technologies
Demonstrated ability to respond to issues as they arise
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
IT Experience in a higher education environment
Knowledge of data processing programming methods, concepts, and standards
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server technologies
Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
Knowledge of project planning and development
Ability to design, plan, and manage computer systems and application software projects
Ability to lead computer project teams and provide guidance and assistance
Ability to estimate costs and resources for data processing applications
Ability to communicate data with users
