Principal Associate, Database Administrator
-Lead the design, creation, development, and implementation of complex database systems in support of data management applications.
-Develop standards for data warehouse operations, programming, and security including physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration.
-Develop and document database architectures and develop software solutions.
-Develop database architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements.
-Design and develop databases and test, report, and oversee the back-up and recovery for assigned databases using ITO (Information Technology Operations) Database Support, MS-SQL Server, T-SQL, Database Cluster Management, large scale Disaster Recovery Administration, Powershell, and database incident management and risk mitigation.
-Design databases to support business applications and develop database applications, designing, coding, testing, and implementing complex non-standard programs and scripts and utilizing logical model to ensure efficient and reliable database performance.
-Manage and maintain data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers.
-Responsible for testing, reporting, back-up and recovery for assigned databases.
-Implement enhancements to improve the performance and reliability of the system and develop and maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications.
-Serve as an expert and knowledge source for the escalation of complex database design and development issues.
-Present complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-May work remotely from any location in the U.S.
This position requires a Masterís degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in job offered or database development. In lieu of a Masterís degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in job offered or database development will accept a Bachelorís degree or foreign equivalent in the stated field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as stated. Must have the following skills through education or work experience: presentation of complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences; ITO (Information Technology Operations) Database Support; MS-SQL Server; T-SQL; Database Cluster Management; large scale Disaster Recovery Administration; Powershell; and database incident management and risk mitigation. May work remotely from any location in the U.S.
