SQL DBA
Day-to-day administration of assigned SQL Server, including troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise.
Develop plans and processes designed to improve long-term capabilities of system.
Ensure platform or system is operating correctly at all times without over-utilizing resources and is recognizing connections with other applicable machines on the network.
Develop new tools and procedures aimed at making platform maintenance more effective and efficient, identifying processes that can be automated.
Assist with providing a quality, high performance database processing environment by defining assigned database tables and coordinating physical changes to computer databases in a timely manner while adhering to established departmental standards and procedures.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Ability for on call rotation.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in computer science or MIS required, preferably including systems or database administration experience.
Technical
Windows, Microsoft SQL Server
Transact SQL, Backup, Restore, Managing Indexes
Minimum 2 years’ experience with SQL Server.
Education
Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field is required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
