Junior Database Administrators
Participate in the design, creation, and maintenance of computerized databases.
Responsible for the quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Work with management to develop database strategies to support organization requirements.
Consult with and advise users on access to various databases.
Work directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage.
Direct the maintenance and use of the corporate data dictionary.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum two (2) years of database administration experience.
Knowledgeable of data warehousing environments using products such as MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle supporting UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms.
Ability to install upgrades including Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) and service packs.
Knowledgeable of Database Management systems, system monitoring, database creation, database management system (DBMS) installation, performance tuning, maintenance, index rebuilds, file compression, create and execute backups and recoveries.
Education Requirements:
A High School Diploma/GED
