Database Analyst/Administrator
Design and configure database solutions to satisfy application (business and technical) requirements
Database administration at the application level
Design/redesign reports (Business Intelligence tool yet to be determined) based on high-level business user specifications
Standardize, organize and document the reporting process company-wide
Utilize custom SQL to extract, transform, and load data from enterprise business systems into reporting platform
Understand and support legacy solutions and reports while migrating to a long-term strategy
Convert ad-hoc and Excel reports into scalable reporting solutions
Manage and maintain the reporting infrastructure (reporting servers, report deployment, report source control, report security)
Identify and implement long-term data management and reporting solutions across multiple data sources
Develop, maintain and enhance integrations with other applications/systems
Work with IT Management on performance tuning analysis & optimization, troubleshooting, capacity planning, modeling, system support, long-term strategic planning, and security of pertinent databases
Ability to troubleshoot databases and rapidly and accurately diagnose unexpected database performance and replication issues
Consult with and advise IT management on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction
Assist in design and implementation of maintenance plans
Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and high availability options for Databases and application systems (MS SQL Server 2008 and later and Oracle)
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
A technical degree and 5+ years of related experience
Solid understanding of MS and Oracle database administration, patching and maintenance
Expert-level experience writing queries using both Oracle-SQL and Transact-SQL
Experience in one or more of BI/Reporting tools (QlikView, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SSRS, Business Objects, Oracle BI, Cognos, etc.)
Experience with OLAP tools preferred
Experience with enterprise service bus software tools a plus (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, etc.)
Exposure to SOAP and RESTful API a plus
Must have good written and verbal communications skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must have strong multi-tasking, coordination, organization and time management skills
Must be task and detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, dynamic, and deadline oriented business environment
Must be able to see the “big picture” of business needs and how they relate to database structure
Must be able to work independently and as a team player
