Microsoft SQL Server DBA
Responsibilities and Functions
? Administer Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 database servers
? Monitor SQL 2005/2008/2012 database server performance
? Utilize SQL Management Studio to maintain the health of various SQL databases
? Create/Edit reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
? Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
? Utilize SQL Server Integration Services to import/export data from numerous SQL 2005/2008/2012 databases
? Troubleshoot end-user connectivity issues with database applications
Education and Experience
? Bachelors in computer related field or equivalent experience
? MCSE or MCDBA is a plus
Knowledge and Skills
? 2-3 years experience supporting Microsoft SQL 2005 through 2012 Servers
? Experience using SSRS for report creation and publishing
? Experience with SSIS for database integration
? Experience with SQL Analysis Services
? Experience designing/creating SQL databases
? Knowledge/Experience with Visual Studio.NET a plus
? Knowledge of Windows 7/2003/2008/2012, Active Directory, and Exchange
? Experience monitoring network/hardware performance
? Good hardware/software troubleshooting skills
? Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is essential
? Outstanding analytical and problems-solving skills
? Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
