Database Engineer
Work with customers to define and implement interfaces with other data sources. Establish SQL guidelines in conjunction with the data architect, database admin, and project manager. Review developers SQL scripts to ensure they follow established guidelines. Participate in the data quality group and as the backup data architect lead (as needed) the data planning group. Analyze SQL queries using Execution plan, Query Analyzer, SQL Profiler to optimize performance.
Qualifications:
The following knowledge skills and attributes are required:
7+ years of developing complex T-SQL stored procedures and functions using SQL Server - desire 3+ years using SQL Server 2008 or higher
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Advanced experience with database modeling to include best practices with database normalization, indexes, and foreign keys
Experience with data modeling tools - preferably Erwin
Experience with data warehouses - preferably using dimensional modeling techniques
