Oracle Developer DBA
The Oracle Development DBA must understand the software’s capabilities and limitations to create, test and deploy code that is aligned with the our requirements.
Provide technical support of database environments and applications; including database problem diagnosis, performance monitoring, database maintenance, process automation, evaluation, and tuning recommendations
Participate in the implementation of application requested database code and configuration changes in supported Oracle database environments
Evaluate, document, and recommend database-related software products within technical architecture framework
Provide database technical support of IRS developed Oracle databases and database environments; problem diagnosis, performance monitoring, evaluation and tuning recommendations

Required Education and years of experience:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and at least 6 years of related experience is required. An additional 4 years of related experience may substitute for degree.
Required Skills
In addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of MS Office Suite, and demonstrated success in client support, the following are required-
Oracle 10G or later
Strong application development experience with PL/SQL, and writing and debugging stored procedures
PL/SQL Query tuning
Experience working with SQL Loader, Data Pump
Design, create and maintain database tables
Oracle security remediation and performance tuning
Proven ability to work on and with teams dispersed across geographical sites.
Desired Skills
IRS system and data knowledge experience
Experience working in a command line environment and a general understanding of Red Hat Linux OS, or other Unix-like OS.
Experience working in an Oracle RAC environment.
Golden Gate experience
Experience with scripting languages
Experience with webMethods a huge plus
Current IRS MBI is huge plus.
