Database Administrator
• Experience as a database administrator in both SQL Server and Oracle
• Experience with technology features in SQL Server and Oracle such as Partitioning, File Groups, Materialized Views, and Options available in executing database statistics
• Experience with installing and configuring new SQL Server and Oracle releases, management of database tables - sizing, expansion, and protection
• SQL Server and Oracle database performance analysis and tuning skills
• T-SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Solid understanding of the Windows and Linux server operating system
• Exhibits strong teamwork, individual drive - highly motivated, articulate and eager to learn
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn/adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment - ability to manage change
• Experience in large 24X7 production IT operations; thus must be willing to participate in a defined on-call rotation
• Other duties and requirements as assigned
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Desired but not required)
• Working knowledge of proxies, firewalls, SMTP gateways, switches, and routers
• Experience as a Unix/Linux Power User
• Experience with Share Point 2007/2010 a plus
• Experience with Excel 2010 and Power Pivot a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services a plus
• Experience with Information Builders Web Focus Business Intelligence software a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of an Associates degree preferred; or equivalent experience
