ORACLE Database Administrtator
Required Experience:
- 10 Years, or more, experience as a DBA with Oracle RDBMS version 10g and 11g (senior level)
- Skills an abilites to perform tasks outline in the section above
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, to include documentation of database architecture and standard operating procedures in accordance with established guidelines
- Proficient with Oracle PSU patching in high availability environments
- Experienced with Oracle Connection Manager, GRIDLINK, and SCAN listener configuration and monitoring
- Senior DBA level experience with performance tuning at the database, application, and query level
- Advanced level experience with stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints, and Shell scripting on UNIX platforms
- Experience with Logical and physical database design, performance, scalability and tuning reviews/assessments (DB and SQL tuning), and query monitoring
- Ability to provide troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring and on-call database support on a rotational basis
- Experience with security models as they pertain to various Oracle database/server deployments to meet DIACAP Compliance
- Working knowledge of Netbackup with Oracle products
- Hands on experience using multi vendor SAN storage with the Oracle databases
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Data Guard in various configurations
- Advanced level experience with all Oracle tools like tkprof, asmcmd, adrci, etc.
Required Education:
- B.S. in Computer/Information Sciences or equivalent Engineering field (experience may be considered in lieu of education)
