Database Administrator II
As a member of the Data Services Team, the job is responsible for providing 24x7 primary system DBA support for all Oracle and Microsoft SQL server related systems on AIX, Linux and Windows. Extensive knowledge of SAN technologies supporting Oracle and SQL DB management systems.
Contribute towards architecture, engineering of DB solutions, document and deploy standards to comply with audit, configuration, industry and security baselines.
Design, create and maintain database objects including all physical and logical primary objects such as tablespaces, data files, tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages, procedures, etc. Create and maintain coding standards for stored procedures, triggers, logical and physical DB schema design.
Approve complex structural changes to the database. Recommend database architectural approaches and design to application staff. Develop database standards and manage key database initiatives that will allow for rapid improvements in database security, archiving and reporting capabilities. Project management experience and leading/mentoring staff to achieve desired outcomes in support of a 24x7 critical patient care environment.
4- year Degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience in similar environment will be considered
5+ years experience supporting a 24x7 highly available database environment
