Senior Applications DBA
• Participate as an active member of a development team supporting common goals, objectives, and processes
• Participate in design and code reviews/walkthroughs -- must be willing/able to accept and deliver critical feedback
• Design and support the database and table schemas for new and evolving sources of data
• Collaborate with, educate, and otherwise support data related activities with all stakeholders including other engineers, data analysts, product teams, client services, sales, and executives
• Desire to create innovative solutions quickly with a high degree of quality
• Excellence in SQL and experience of writing and optimizing complex queries
• Understand data discovery, data profiling, and source to target mapping methodologies, with hands-on experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance
• Strong technical skills with all data warehousing technologies including Open Source solutions (e.g., ETL, ODS, DBMS, BI)
• Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional)
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience and ability to identify and document data integration issues; including challenges such as duplicate data, non-conformed data, and unclean data
• 5+ years of experience architecting and building data warehouses
• 5+ years of using ETL tools
• 5+ years of SQL programming
• 5+ years of experience developing BI applications with large scale deployment
Education:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent engineering
