SQL Database Administrator / DBA
In this dynamic setting, you’ll check and triage database maintenance job failures (ie. backup, DBCC), develop and deploy standard maintenance jobs for all databases, and actively monitor database health and performance. You’ll perform tuning, backups, application testing and diagnostics. You’ll also write and maintain SQL queries, administer SQL Reporting Services, run diagnostics and build new SQL clusters for optimal throughput.
Maintain system documentation, escalate troubleshooting issues, and make smart recommendations for database design.
To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience using Microsoft SQL Server version 2005/2008. Ideal candidates have experience with large-scale database support and maintenance (VLDB), SQL Integration and Reporting Services and server hardware configuration. Healthcare industry background plus knowledge of Quest tools and PowerShell scripting is a plus.
Bring your familiarity with the latest SQL Server features, SAN storage solutions, client server and n-tier systems, and Windows 2008 Server administration and Windows Active Directory.
