Database Administrator - Oracle
• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
• Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
• Take care of the Database design and implementation
• Implement and maintain database security (create/maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
• Work as part of a team and function as a self-starter with minimal supervision
• Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
• Patch Management and Version Control
• Deep understanding of Oracle 11g technology
• Strong experience with RAC, ASM, OEM
• Proficiency in SQL, Linux and scripting
• Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Hands on experience with database monitoring tools
• Prior experience in a 24x7 on-call rotation and performing off-hours work
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and desire for quality
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in time-sensitive situations
• Proven experience in a production environment
