SQL Database Adminstrator
Bachelor or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
ITIL version 3 Foundation certification or greater
5+ years of experience supporting SQL Server environments
3+ years of experience deploying database code in multi-stage environments
3+ years of C++ or C# development experience is a plus
2+ years of experience with HA/DR (Replication, Service Broker) is a plus
Specific Role-Related Experience Required
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications.
Able to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Strong documentation and record keeping skills, with extreme attention to the
development and maintenance of, as well as following documented Standard Operating
Procedures.
Excellent written, verbal, listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work in an energetic, fast paced and interrupt driven environment, with
openness to the demands and rewards of a 24 x 7 workplace.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, as well as prioritization (both personal and for
the team).
Experience with SQL Server 2008 or later
Experience with backup/restore of databases
Experience with T-SQL
Experience debugging database apps and queries
Experience with HA/DR environments is a plus
Experience with C++ or C# is a plus
Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
Experience with PowerShell is a plus
Experience with DB2 for Windows or Unix is a plus
Experience with mobile databases like SQL Server CE or DB2 Everyplace is a plus
Perform SQL Server and DB2 installations, upgrades and patches
