Manager, Database Administrator
Manage a team of Database Administrators
Manage and operate the databases (mainly Oracle) including Dev, QA, Staging, and Production
Perform on-call duty and rotation into the Database Operation group
Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure Database capacity meets existing and future requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for database administration
Participate in the development of cloud Database strategies in collaboration with the cross functional stakeholders
Establish KPIs for service level agreements
Manage and set priorities for maintenance, development, and evaluation of all database related security and implementations
Conduct feasibility studies for various Database upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions
Evaluate hardware and software standards for database in conjunction with owners and stakeholders
Perform benchmark and load test the Database, provide DB performance statistics, and reports
Establish and maintain regular communications with the peers and decision-makers, and stakeholders, regarding pertinent database activities
Manage new implementation, including assigning, creating task and delivery dates
Bachelors in any of the engineering disciplines; MBA is a plus
5+ years experience as Oracle Database Administrator, administering, and developing for UNIX and/or LINUX. In-depth knowledge of Oracle Administration and Oracle RAC
5+ years successful leadership and mentoring of an infrastructure team, preferably in a global environment
7+ years’ experience managing and delivering Database design and operational excellence in a 24x7x365 hosted environment supporting enterprise Applications
Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments
Hands-on experience in performance tuning and capacity planning
Hands on experience in implementing DB monitoring tools in datacenter environment
