Senior Database Administrator
Learn and adopt additional database technologies such as Hana, Hadoop and MySQL to provide development and operational support.
Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations across all supported database platforms.
Plan and execute database cloning cycles from production to non-production databases.
Be a self-motivated individual driving projects to successful completion with minimal supervision.
At least 7 years of combined DBA experience with Oracle 10g and 11g.
At least 7 years of experience with Standby databases and Data Guard.
At least 7 years of database query optimization and performance tuning experience.
At least 7 years of experience configuring Linux systems and tuning kernel parameters for database use. At least 7 years shell scripting experience in a scripting language such as Perl, Python, Bash, etc.
At least 7 years experience with RMAN backups via tape libraries.
Expert level performance tuning skills with Oracle on Linux databases for active and past issues
Has worked with Advanced Data Guard concepts such as Broker, Active Data Guard and Fast Start Failover.
Has understanding and hands-on exposure to other technologies such as Hadoop, HBase and MySQL.
Has deep understanding of storage, backup and recovery within the context of Oracle databases.
Adept at using source code revision systems such as Perforce, Subversion or CVS.
