Development DBA
Support java development teams producing high-performance, highly available software in a fast-paced Agile multi-team environment.
Contribute to software releases through delivering data models, PL/SQL and SQL development/optimization within large complex systems.
Facilitate database design and development through liaising with individuals across functional departments to gain a strong understanding of all enterprise systems and business processes.
Develop design specifications, author internal documentation and participate in reviews.
Perform database administration and deploy releases on all Oracle non-production database environments in order to satisfy project demands.
Communicate objectives and approaches with a variety of audiences including: technical teams, executive management and business stakeholders.
Expert knowledge of Oracle 11g/Unix platform including design, implementation and management of mission critical, high-transaction OLTP and OLAP systems.
Expert knowledge in PL/SQL development.
Extensive experience in identifying and correcting performance issues, data integrity analysis and resolving database contention issues.
Well-rounded background in the principles of software design and implementation.
Proficiency in a broad array of technical skills including, operating systems, networking, databases, data structures and commercial application development
Development background in Java and SOA technologies is preferred.
Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
Experience with data warehouse design, development and ETL code development is preferred.
