Database Administrator II
Work in collaboration with Data Architect to design, implement, and tune database schemas
Work in collaboration with Data Architect to optimize physical tables and partitions
Work in collaboration with Data Architect to implement dimensional models, including aggregation and indexing strategies
Establish capacity planning and technology roadmaps
Optimize database systems and services
Maintain back-up and recovery documentation
Establish database implementation, creation, and usage standards
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders on project requirements
Present and review solutions with peers, project teams, and leadership
Actively participate on multiple projects requiring effective multi-tasking and time management skills
Provide accurate work estimates and timelines for completion
Meet deadlines and communicate statuses to supervisor and project managers
3 or more years of relevant work experience required including...
Experience defining and implementing security solutions; related skills and experience include identity and access management engineering, systems engineering, network engineering, application engineering, technical architecture, and security theory
Candidates should have 3-7 years of relevant Information Technology experience
Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated working experience with SQL Server 2005 and higher
2+ years of database backup/recovery, performance tuning, and database design experience
2+ years of database scripting experience with TSQL
Experience with Windows Server 2003 and higher
Experience in managing relational database systems
Demonstrated ability to develop and/or script in multiple languages and technologies
Knowledge of SSIS and ODBC
Knowledge of ETL and query tools
Knowledge and experience with Metadata management
Solid understanding of SFTP, XML, and related standards
Solid understanding of core database architect, design, and modeling concepts
Strong conceptual and analytic skills
Information Systems experience in large corporate environments
Proven Database Administration skills
Proven and strong critical thinking skills
Ability to be creative and innovative in a complex technical environment
Ability to work individually or in a close team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Competent in the latest Microsoft Office suite of products
Good communication skills and be able to work as part of a geographically dispersed team
