SQL Database Administrator
Creates and maintains physical database structures to support maintenance and new development.
Creates and maintains database schema, database objects, scripts and queries as required.
Analyzes and performs administrative tasks to ensure the health of the databases; analyzes and institutes safeguards to ensure stable and secure environments.
Works with network administrators and application developers to provide performance tuning to meet application requirements.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to programmers and analysts in the database analysis process.
Researches, analyzes and resolves problems related to access, usage and performance of database systems.
Creates, revises and maintains coded database objects.
Scripts and performs data fixes; tests and schedules data fixes according to the workflow process.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Five to ten years of current information technology experience involving the analysis, design and maintenance of databases.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.
Extensive experience with SQL programming, specifically stored procedures and views.
Knowledge and experience with implementing Access databases
