Sr. Oracle Apps DBA
7-10+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA on Unix-based systems (incl. physical Design and implementation) in mission critical environment.
Must be proficient in all aspects of Application DBA functions for 11.5.10 CU2 & R12 releases. .
Thorough knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 10g and 11g environments, including RAC, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Streams and Data Pump.
Must have a strong knowledge in Oracle fusion middleware components, including Application Server 10g/11g, OID, Discoverer, SSO
Strong Knowledge of OEM /Oracle Grid for 10g and 11g.
Strong Experience performing Oracle Application installations, upgrades, and installing patches.
Strong knowledge in Oracle Workflow Queues and PCP configuration techniques on cluster based ERP environments.
Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Applications 11i/R12 Financials Modules
Strong knowledge of Unix Operating System internals, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux and HP-UX with Shell/Perl scripting knowledge.
Some NetApps/EMC NAS/SAN knowledge preferred.
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
Advanced knowledge in SOA suite/BPEL is a plus
Administer and support Oracle 10g and 11g databases, 11i/R12 oracle Applications instances.
Respond to and acknowledge Noc and Database/Application alerts
Production schemas tables / tablespace growth reports
Manage Oracle Flashback database features and associated logging
Identify and resolve poor SQL (high reads/execution counts)
Refresh dev / test / stage using 11i/R12 cloning technologies, RMAN, Standby restores.
Provide capacity planning for production/non-production database using SQL reports
Test and Apply Oracle Critical Security Patches
Disaster Recovery documentation, planning and testing
Develop documentation and procedures to maintain and support new and existing database operations.
Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and prediction of future database resource requirements.
Education:
BA/BS: IS, CIS, CS, related technical degree
