Principal Oracle Database Administrator
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle database in a UNIX environment, and related products
Establish and Maintain sound backup and recovery policies for Oracle database
Set up an maintain documentation and standards
Work as part of team and provide 24x7 support when required
Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams
Evaluate oracle RDBMS and application features and related products
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
Mentoring staff members with ongoing training
Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development cycle
Provide a strategic direction for the organization from oracle RDBMS perspective
Interface with Vendor for technical support
Must possess at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in computer Sciences or related engineering fields
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle RDBMS system in a UNIX environment and related products
Setup of Linux OS and Oracle database Clustering using OCFS2 cluster file system and ASM
Setup of OS and oracle Real Application Clustering
Experience in oracle RDBMS as well as Linux OS administration tasks
Strong knowledge of oracle database design and database concepts.
Fluent in SQL, PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting SQL
In-Depth understanding of oracle Server engine, OBIEE application and related administration utilities/tools
In-Depth understanding of Linux OS features and related administration utilities/tools
In-depth knowledge of LDAP authentication and access control using LDAP and Active Directory
Apply application upgrades and patches to existing Oracle applications such as CDH, OBIEE and SOA suite
Working knowledge of Oracle CDH Architecture (Application tier, Application File System) and clustering
Must be an expert in making modification to the existing customized systems.
Bottleneck identification and other hardware-based OS and SQL tuning
SQL and Database logical and physical design review and identification of areas to improve
Interface with Vendors for efficient problem resolution
In depth knowledge of database security features and understanding of application and database security vulnerabilities
