Production DBA
Manage SQL cluster resources and troubleshoot errors.
Design, implement, and execute database backup/restore strategy in a high availability environment.
Create, configure, manage, and troubleshoot all SQL Server components.
Act as the gatekeeper for production database systems.
Review and optimize database changes prior to production deployment.
Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend corrective course of action.
Participate in planning and execution of recovery activities.
Conduct growth analysis and capacity planning.
Plan and implements database security policy.
Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required
H.S. Diploma or GED required
7+ years equivalent work experience
7+ years Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience in a production environment
Experience administering larger enterprise-level databases in a clustered environment
SQL skills for the purpose of providing development support and application tuning
Database monitoring, index optimization, performance tuning, and implementation
Strong knowledge of hardware and external storage array required
Proven leadership experience
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong customer-service orientation
