Database Administrator (DBA)
The Database Administrator administers and controls data resources;
implementation of data dictionaries; data security and integrity;
performance of database backups; use of data modeling techniques to analyze and specify data requirements and structures;
definition of logical and physical data views; and tuning database performance.
Perform database backups and recovery; conduct periodic review and analysis of database fault logs.
Create and update existing database schemas, modify database procedures and functions, create and modify database views, maintain and archive data and execute and diagnose database scripts.
Develop, update, and review technical documentation for the “as is” database design.
Review and provide input regarding recommended changes for database design.
Preferred to have achieved one of the following database software program certificates from an accredited technical school within the past two (2) years: Oracle database certifications or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
