Senior Oracle Apps DBA
Functions as a lead DBA for Oracle ERP and non-ERP databases
Support IT operations and administer ERP and Non-ERP Oracle databases.
Administers user account security, including setup and termination procedures
Performs proper backup and disaster recovery procedures
Maintains database configurations in compliance with established best practices
Supports IT development/production team with ongoing projects.
Work with the IT team to automate reactive procedures, and to promote rapid response to known issues
Devise innovative work-around solutions or new processes
Works closely with the rest of IT team and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective
Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the database architecture and the general application functionality used to maintain data integrity
Performs Database installs and upgrades in different versions and apply applications patches to upgrade or to fix the issues.
Communicates best practices with management and maintains global standards for implementations
Work closely with the rest of IT team and be proactive in identifying Oracle improvements for current or future projects
