Oracle Database Administrator
Experience conveying technical information to technical and nontechnical users.
Experience documenting existing and new processes.
Experience with prioritizing and organizing work assignments and utilizing problem solving skills.
Experience installing, patching, and working with Oracle Grid Control.
Proficient at Oracle SQL and database tuning using AWR and ADDM reports as well as SQL profiles.
Senior level experience in database server development.
Experience with deploying Data Guard including active fail over to standby databases.
Must be able to follow existing policies and procedures.
Background Check Requirements
Provides operational support and administration for database technologies. Assists with reviewing, designing and maintaining University databases. Assists management with Oracle Database administration functions. Position is taking on all of the responsibility for Oracle instances, to include ERP.
Responsible for day-to-day administration of all test, development, and production databases including creation and maintenance of data objects, performance tuning and monitoring, installation and software maintenance, and implementation and maintenance of database security. This includes all ERP Oracle databases, SQL Server database support, and basic DB2 mainframe support.
