Database Administrator- Entry Level
* Perform logical data modeling processes for basic application database requirements and converts logical data models into physical data models for intermediate application databases
* Engage and manage vendor and next level support, providing detailed documentation on initial failure, restoration activity, and impact analysis
* Support root cause analysis on complex incidents
* Identify underlying problem areas and escalate with appropriate diagnostic details and analysis
* Support proactive alerting and monitors for database performance and availability.
* Execute complex implementations, including mirroring and replication
* Perform basic DDL implementation and intermediate database maintenance services to application development teams
* Assist with testing efforts, troubleshooting, and reviewing trace files
* Define DBMS specific requirements to accommodate physical data models
* Provide database maintenance services to application development teams
* Create and modify jobs for various utilities
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business
* Basic understanding of databases
* Have taken 3 or more database classes
