SQL Server Database Administrator
SQL server DBA will be primarily responsible for Install, configure, support, backup and management of SQL server databases in standalone environments. Implement robust backup solutions and policies. Responsible for SQL Server database upgrades/patches. Perform data refresh of test and development servers. Proactively manage database support issues and effectively take corrective actions. Responsible for the consolidation, scaling and availability of SQL Servers. Develop stored procedures and scripts to automate databases tasks. Work on documentation of the existing environment and best practices. Provide backup support to Oracle Data Warehouse and Oracle Application Database Administrators. Work with cross functional teams, document technical procedures, implementation plans and follow change management for deploying production changes.Work on root cause analysis and resolution of problems in support of production; including 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis.
Experience:
2+ years of SQL server database administration experience with at least 4 years of overall Informational technology background or relevant educational background. Oracle DBA experiences a strong plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Education:
BS/BA Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education, training and experience.Willingness to learn new technologies.
