SQL Database Administrator
Responsible for providing technical support for the Microsoft SQL database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the testing, development, and production databases. Work closely with developers to develop and optimize the performance of stored procedures and T-SQL. Develop, configure and maintain databases and related systems for a high volume Ecommerce and media website. Maintains and monitors all production databases for performance and system uptime. Manages and monitors all database backups, including validation of backups, based on specific business unit needs. Responsible for the development of a long-term database strategy to ensure efficiency, integrity, and security. Coordinates, trains, and assists developers and business analysts with application development against core, on-line processing database environments. Also assists with troubleshooting backend application, data warehousing and reporting errors or performance issues.
Education and/or Experience:
Microsoft Certified SQL Database MCDBA or MCITP DBA
Bachelor's degree or 4 years' experience as a DBA
Strong analytical skills
Ecommerce experience

T-SQL
Microsoft SQL server 2005,2008 R2 , SSRS, SSIS
SQL Sentry, Ignite and other SQL monitoring tools
Familiarity with Microsoft ASP.NET 4.0, VB.NET 4.0
Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, Office 2010 & IIS7
