Senior Database Administrator
Seeking a Senior Database Administrator who is able to develop and engineer intelligent and strategic solutions. The selected database administrator will need to be technically proficient and possess a strong understanding of database management, including disaster recovery, replication, and security analysis. The database administrator will be asked to work within a team to ensure the stability and performance of a large, multi-server environment.
* Analyze hardware capabilities and extrapolate data to plan for growth
* Set up and manage database servers
* Troubleshoot issues and database errors; design solutions to such problems
* Communicate ideas and suggestions to other team members
* Proactively suggest new techniques and technologies to improve server reliability
* Create reports and other visual aides to organize and disseminate data analysis
* Write simple T-SQL queries to analyze data
* BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field required
* Familiarity with windows server, services required
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively required
* At least two (2) years SQL experience preferred
* Microsoft SQL (especially 2008) preferred
