DB2 DBA
· As a member of the Enterprise Distributed DBA team, this individual will be responsible for the overall management and administration of DB2 LUW databases.
· Database administration, backup, recovery, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, patch analysis, patch application, instance management, instance migration, and database upgrades are primary tasks.
· The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and support DB2 Data Warehouse in an IBM ISAS environment.
· Individual will work with the development teams, infrastructure teams and other members of the DBA team during all phases of the application lifecycle to support configuration, customizations, testing and quality control.
· Candidate is expected to provide 24X7 production support in a team environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in a technically related field of study
· 5-7 years of progressively responsible technology experience
· 3+ years of DB2 Database Administration experience on Linux, Unix and Windows (LUW)
· Experience on HADR is required
· Installation, updates/patches, upgrades, tuning, optimization, backups and resource management
· Experience working on DB2 9.x versions
· Experience in working in a 24X7X365 environments and on-call support
· Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database
