MySQL DBA
* Supporting MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and other RDBMS and NoSQL platforms and define strategies for data acquisition, recovery, migration of users
across several services
* Responsible for the design, management and support of MySQL, MongoDB and Cassandra for critical custom applications
* Manage MySQL in production/QA/development environments including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, upgrades, schema changes, etc.
* Define and implement backup and recovery solutions
* Installation of database software patches/upgrades
* Monitor load, usage, and availability metrics and provide proactive reporting of trends and potential problems
* Participates in the creation of development, staging & production database instances, and the migration of those instances from one environment to another
* Work with various teams for performance tuning and optimization, query optimization, index tuning, caching, buffer tuning
Education:
* Undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related field
