IT Database Administrator
Will perform application DBA services for global DB2-z/OS database systems, often involving sensitive and mission-critical enterprise data. These services include: creating and altering databases, executing DB2 utilities, restoring, granting security, tuning and performance analysis. In addition, you will:
* Lead efforts to assess and implement technical projects that implement new or improved database-related technology
* Participate and coordinate with the on-site and off-site DBA team members to develop and monitor global staff resource/workload plans
* Provide technical assistance to resources across the enterprise in solving database issues and to find solutions to complex database problems
* Review and revise database designs to ensure they meet scalability and availability needs of business applications
* Participate in on-call support rotation
* 4+ years of experience as a DB2 z/OS Database Administrator
* 4+ years of experience with mainframe JCL and TSO
* 4+ years of experience with SQL Query performance analysis and tuning
* Experience working with global teams
* Prior mainframe and distributed application development experience
* BMC database administration tools experience
* Project Management experience
* 2+ years of experience in programming/software development
