Database Administrator
Three years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field including development and design of Database projects. Knowledge, experience and expertise with the design, development, troubleshooting, debuging, and implementing database system in support of Information Technology (IT) projects. Responsible for interface implementation. Knowledgeable in database design methodology.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance or an applicable training certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 8 years relevant database design experience may be substituted for degree.
Conduct database support for other team’s work products. Will be assigned to work on both Modernization and Sustainment projects. Will produce database documentation, including traditional data dictionary and data standards, as well as conceptual models of information architecture products such as taxonomies and classification structures of content. Will design andsupport normalized databases enforcing data integrity. Develop/sustain data dictionary entries stored in the database’s extended fields and presented through a query-driven report. Other duties as assigned.
