Sr. Database Administrator
Responsibilities: Lead a team of Database Administrators for design, installation and administration of databases for complex projects involving large systems. Responsibilities include: Team leadership of complex projects involving large systems. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Analysis of client business processes and functional requirements; Monitoring project development, and ensuring conformity to project specifications at all stages as well as obtaining periodic client acceptance of the project deliverables. Work with VP, designers and developers to define new features. Interact with clients and develop design specifications including modifying existing databases and planning for new.Implementation of best practices for database administration. Plan, coordinate and implement security/audit measures to protect data in accordance with company policies as well as statutory requirements. Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation of new tools and applications, as well as new databases. Database migration, replication, performance tuning and monitor. Designing and implementing database backup plans, disaster planning and recovery strategies Design and development of monitoring tools; Writing and implementing test plans. Plan, coordinate and review the work products of other administrators and developers under his supervision. Req: MS (or foreign equivalent degree) in CompSci, any Engg, CIS, Science, Math, Business or related and three years of experience.
