Microsoft SQL Server DBA
Responsible for multiple Microsoft SQL Server database deployments and one Oracle deployment across an Enterprise environment for a large manufacturing concern. Responsible for all operational aspects of several MS SQL Server deployments in both production, QA and development environments. The SQL and Oracle server environments consist of commercial off-the-shelf databases supporting online transactional systems, custom developed databases, and multiple data warehouses supporting business intelligence and reporting systems. Responsible for all aspects of maintenance, performance, tuning, security, backup and recovery processes, and configuration of all operational databases. Assist in planning, designing, and implementing new databases and database servers and assist developers in implementing new database capabilities. Own all aspects of the operations and work with the staff at the hosting center where all systems reside.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Information Systems or related field;
• Five years of experience as Database Administrator or related occupation
• Five years of experience must include using SQL and Oracle servers, working with Windows server, including basic Windows administration, Active Directory and proper disk configurations, and demonstrated capability with High Availability (Clustering and Replication) options for MS SQL Server.
