Database Administrator
The DBA will work with internal and external partners to ensure the best performance can be achieved through appropriate hardware and software configurations.
? Define and document optimal implementation strategies of database technologies for targeted solutions.
? Work with partners to ensure the ease of deployment and stability of their technologies on our platforms.
? Work with the broad development organization to help triage customer issues.
? Work with test to resolve bugs, performance issues, and gaps in requirements.
? Experience with at least one highly scalable, distributed database system is required (e.g. Cassandra, CouchDB, etc).
? Experience with Linux systems is required.
? Experience with storage is highly desirable.
? Experience with memcached is desirable.
? Experience with Agile development methodology such as Scrum is desirable.
? Experience working with remote, distributed teams and customers is desirable.
? Bachelor's (CS, EE, or Math preferred) or equivalent work experience;
? Graduate degree in (CS, EE, or Math preferred) preferred;
