Database Administrator
· Setup cloned and new environments for project and development teams as necessary
· Install and support wide range of applications like Oracle Enterprise Business Suite, Service Oriented Architecture (SOS), Discoverer, Business Objects, Agile PLM, and Factory Applications.
· Interact with technical, project, development and support teams to provide timely services
· Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues
· Responsible for multiple databases and applications on multiple platforms
· Responsible for migrating code from non-production to production environments
· Adept with operating systems tasks and storage concepts
· Provide guidelines and recommendations of new products and features to management.
· Follow established operational processes and procedures and continue to fine tune them to improve the operational efficiency
· Manage and execute change management, code migration, and version control for business applications.
· Perform Discoverer admin activities
· Perform Solaris Admin activities
· Responsible for MS SQL and MySQL databases
· Manage standby and refresh database environments
· Develop scripts to automate standard database operational tasks
· Work with development teams to troubleshoot database performance issues, SQL tuning and/or queries
· Participate in DBA related projects as required
• 5+ years of expertise in Oracle DBA production support role
• 5+ years of expertise in Oracle 10g, 11g on Solaris
• 5+ years of expertise in Oracle EBS R11, R12 SYSADMIN activities
• 2 Life cycles of Oracle EBS upgrade experience
• 4+ years of sound knowledge of Oracle AS 10g, SOA 11g
• Preferred knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases
• Preferred knowledge of MS windows based databases and applications
• Preferred knowledge of Data Warehousing environments, such as Business objects and Informatica
• Preferred SQL, Unix, Windows scripting
