Database Administrator
-Work closely with the Manager of Data Services and development teams. Responsibilities include both database administration and development activities
-Meets enterprise and company requirements by planning and developing database structure; developing database utilization policies, procedures, security, backup, and recovery
-Maintains design structure by directing implementation of SQL standards and guidelines
-Completes platform upgrades and migrations by issuing instructions, monitoring performance; coordinating actions
-Maintains data integrity by establishing standards; monitoring performance
-Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends
-Exceptional problem solving skills
-Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and responsibility for the health and well-being of systems
-Take responsibility for seeing issues through to resolution
-At least 2 years of experience in database administration
-Preferred experience in Oracle and/or Postgres
-Tuning, indexing, monitoring of databases
-Efficient communication skills with other team
members
-Excellent verbal and written communications
-Customer service skills
-Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team
-Solid understanding of SQL and PL/pgSQL
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
