Senior SQL DBA,
• Participates and helps lead the development and implementation of an enterprise data integration strategy
• Installs, configures, tunes, and maintains production, development and test databases
• Installs application database definitions, tables, and security
• Participates in application outage incidents to ensure database integrity and functionality
• Participates in the creation and maintenance of back-up plans, triggers, stored procedures and control scripts
• Leads the Database Administration team in the definition and implementation of a database disaster recovery plan
• Schedules and tracks upgrades and changes to database applications
• Defines and maintains database problem reporting, tracking, and resolution procedures
• Participates fully in the product development process from requirements definition to application deployment
• Participates fully in database design and development from data modeling through SQL server tuning
• Utilizes data modeling tools to provide proactive analysis of potential changes to the data model: performance impacts; migration effort; code modification
• Provides proactive input into design issues/constraints, performance tuning, and impact analysis of changes
• Supports, enforces and improves upon existing database development, architecture and naming standards
• Participates and leads database design reviews and code inspections
• Provides mentorship to junior members of the database team
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4-5 years Database administration experience
• Significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server; certification preferred but not required
• Solid experience in database clustering and SAN technologies
• Microsoft SQL2000 and OLEDB programming experience a plus
• Oracle experience a plus
• Experience utilizing data modeling tools
• Working knowledge of NT/2000 and Unix operating systems and various Windows OS
• Software development experience with VB, COM, Java, and ASP a plus
• Excellent business and system analysis skills
• Proven ability to a lead project team
• Superior problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Detail oriented
