Database Administrator
• Support development with DB analysis (mastering db analysis tools and methodologies)
• Define methodologies for testing load of database
• Review design of database:
• ERD, Queries, optimizations
• Any process involves database
• Participate in building Customer solutions
• Support integrations into customer networks
• Define common practices related to design/integration/support of Databases
• Manage the interaction with DB vendors support on open cases or inquiries
• Work together with project management and solution architects in preparing and verifying the sizing / performance of customer solutions
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6+ years of extensive experience managing Oracle databases
• Solid knowledge in Oracle security practices
• Oracle Database Administration (Oracle 10g on both UNIX and Windows)
• UNIX experience
• Strong understanding of DBMS security for Oracle/SQL*Server/MySQL
• Backup and Recovery using RMAN (Oracle 10g)
• Experience of developing Online Transaction System
• Experience of DB performance tuning
• Experience with troubleshooting Oracle
• Experience in a SaaS environment
• Some experience in other database implementations (DB2, SQL Server, Postgres etc)
