Database Administrator
The DBA will proactively monitor, manage, and update the PeopleSoft systems for optimum performance and minimal downtime, in addition to supporting the Enterprise Applications team by granting access, creating database objects, and administering change migration to production as required.
providing primary DBA support for all application databases, including space monitoring, managing backup processes, performance tuning, managing security, and database refresh processes;
proactively monitor and manage PeopleSoft and SQL Server system security, health, performance, and trends in capacity utilization;
diagnosing performance issues and tune data structures and database parameters to optimize performance; monitor, manage, and verify related database and server backups;
collaborate with network and server team on implementing necessary network, server, storage array, virtualization, and operating system updates;
design, develop, and test customizations using People Tools; design, develop, and test custom SQR and application engine programs for reports and interfaces; design, develop, and test PS Queries and Crystal Reports
; escalate problems to Oracle support and third parties as appropriate.
Experience: 4+ years of PeopleSoft development and administration
Specific Skills: Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2008, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleSoft Student Administration, SQL, PeopleTools, SQR, ASP, Crystal Reports, Application Engine, Data Mover, PeopleCode, HTML, XML Publisher, Integration Broker, Microsoft Windows 2003, excellent communications skills, PeopleSoft administration skills, extensive analysis and programming skills, and the ability to work with end users successfully.
