Database Administrator
* proficiency in using Transact-SQL
* implementing stored procedures
* physical and logical data modeling
* Windows Server, and related technologies
* Manage the installation, migration, performance and support for all MS SQL Server instances and databases.
* Analyze, consolidate and tune databases, stored procedures and other scripts for optimal efficiency.
* Data analysis, modeling and maintenance of physical and logical data models.
* Evaluate impacts and opportunities to the core application from MS SQL Server upgrades, patches, new technologies and migrations, including testing of new features.
* Provide trending analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
* On and off-hours support for database-related issues.
* A minimum of 5 years experience with developing software at the data layer in a MS SQL server environment using Transact-SQL.
* MS SQL Server database administration experience, experience with mission critical, OLTP applications preferred.
* Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
* Significant experience with MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008 in a production SAN environment.
* Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008 administration, installation and troubleshooting concepts.
* Excellent communication, organization and documentation skills.
* Strong project and time management skills.
* Desire to succeed, grow skill sets, and a positive attitude.
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
