Database Administrator
Seeking a Database Administrator to perform all database administration functions (in a SQL 2008 R2 environment) including but not limited to: defining and documenting the technical architecture, setting and enforcing standards, developing security for database roles and permissions, monitoring the day to day operations of the server environment for capacity, performance, and data integrity. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the implementation and support of backup and recovery strategies for the databases.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment in setting and managing priorities. Demonstrated ability to prepare documentation to support policy and standards for database administration functions. Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the database administration field. Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis and develop functional requirements. Demonstrated ability for troubleshooting and problem resolution in production environment..
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Work experience serving in the role of database administration and application development. Project management skill set.
